How interest is calculated

Understand your rate, your total repayable and where the numbers come from.

The basics

Each loan product publishes an interest rate and a term in months. Your total payable amount is the principal you borrowed plus the interest charged across that term.

Seeing it before you commit

The Loan Calculator shows your estimated monthly payment, total interest and total repayment for any amount and term combination. Use it freely — it never affects your application or your record.

Where to check afterwards

Once a loan is approved, the agreed total payable is recorded on the application itself and does not change. Open it from My Loans at any time.
